Not to mention that when planning a trip for the whole family, questions and confusion can pile up. What destinations do you currently recommend for families?

I ALWAYS recommend Costa Rica for families – great hotels, friendly people and fun activities for all ages. No museum is necessary, and it’s very different from the classic “beach vacation”.

If the kids are young, I recommend a Caribbean cruise! Kids love the safety they feel aboard a cruise ship, the freedom they have and of course all the activities and other kids on board! Our clients’ favorite family destination is the Riviera Maya. All-inclusive resorts for families do a wonderful job of combining the right mix of activities, beach time, and food to keep everyone happy.

By taking children to see the world, discover other cultures and marvel, we enrich their lives for decades to come. One of our favorite suggestions for multi-generational families is an Alaskan cruise. If you’re looking for a more laid-back escape from the wintry weather, there are family-friendly all-inclusive resorts near Tulum in Riviera Maya. Tauck Bridges offers fantastic escorted travel opportunities in the contiguous United States, with local experts and easy access to remote locations that are a little closer to home (with tours designed specifically for families). One of the best experiences to share with the family is a Galapagos expedition with Lindblad Expeditions, in partnership with National Geographic.
